What Bread collects
Bread collects information you choose to provide through the funding assessment, early-access request, and email.
- Your first name, optional last name, email address, and organization type
- Your funding-assessment answers and result
- Your invite-request details, including your role, location, and optional funding goal
- Questions or support details you send by email
- Basic request, device, and security information used to run and protect the website
Do not send grant documents, application files, or payment information through Bread’s public website or invite-request form.
How Bread uses it
- Show your funding-assessment result and save the assessment record
- Respond to product questions and support requests
- Review and follow up on requests for early access
- Operate, troubleshoot, and protect the website
- Send Bread funding notes only when you choose to receive them
The funding assessment
Bread saves your email and organization type when you start the assessment, even if you do not finish. Your answers and result are saved when you complete it.
The result is general guidance based on your answers. It does not determine eligibility, approval, investment suitability, legal status, or funding outcomes.
Email choices
Completing the assessment does not automatically add you to a marketing list. Bread may send ongoing funding notes only when you check the opt-in box.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.
The early-access request
Requesting an invite does not create a Bread account or guarantee access. Bread uses the information to review your request and follow up about the beta.
Service providers
Bread uses service providers to run the website, store assessment entries and invite requests, and handle email. These currently include OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare for website hosting and storage, and Google Workspace for email.
Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Bread may also share information when required by law or when reasonably needed to protect Bread, the website, or other people.
Bread does not sell the personal information you submit.
Cookies and analytics
Bread does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this website. The hosting provider may use cookies or request information needed to operate and protect the service.
How long Bread keeps information
Bread keeps assessment entries, invite requests, and email records for as long as they are reasonably needed to provide the requested service, follow up, keep business records, resolve problems, or meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You may ask Bread to correct or delete information you submitted. Email hello@thecompanybread.com with your request.
Children’s information
Bread is for people working with organizations. Do not submit personal information about a child through the funding assessment or by email.
Changes
Bread may update this notice as the service changes. The date at the top will show the latest update.
